Dear Families,
Welcome to the wild, wonderful and wonky middle school years. First thing I recommend to do as a parent or caregiver is … breathe in … and breathe out. We’ll get through these awkward years together.
I’m Don Delco and I’m the PTA President for the 2025-26 school year. Lucky for me, unlucky for my prevention of gray hairs, I have an eighth-grade son and a sixth-grade daughter for the coming school year at Stanley.
This website will provide you information you may need to learn more about the Stanley PTA, how you can get involved and stay informed about school programs and events sponsored by the PTA.
For more current information, make sure every adult in your household has joined the PTA. Your membership dollars help us fund events for the students and support for the teachers. It also gives you the ability to opt-in to receive our e-newsletter, the Wildcat Weekly, and join a school-wide directory so we can keep tabs on our kids together.
All right. Still with me? It’s gonna be OK. We’re gonna get through this together. There will be laughs. There will be tears. There will be eye rolls. I’m sure your student will have similar experiences.
It takes a village and the goal of the PTA is to bolster that village for our children, families and community. Parent volunteers are more than welcomed at Stanley. Your student may not like it, but we’re currently in our “embarrass-our-kids-on-purpose” era. I also encourage you to attend our six General PTA meetings and Wildcat Chats during the school year where we connect with other parents, the Stanley faculty, share ideas and learn from inspiring speakers.
That’s it … for now. I need to go attend to some of these gray hairs that appeared since I began writing this letter. Please, feel free to reach out to me at president@stanleypta.org with any questions, comments or concerns. I don’t have all the answers, but lucky for me I’m surrounded by an incredible executive board and amazing volunteers who do.
Remember, breathe…
President
Don Delco
