Notice of Public Hearing

March 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM ~ Stanley Middle School Library

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Lafayette School District will hold a public hearing on a proposal for the District to submit a parcel tax measure to the District’s voters at the statewide election to be held on June 2, 2026. The proposal is that the District ask the voters for approval to levy a qualified special tax (parcel tax) on all taxable, non-exempt real property within the District, replacing and increasing the existing Measure L parcel tax, in order to raise funds to support critical educational programs and services in the Lafayette schools.

The public hearing will be held at 4:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, as a part of a special meeting of the Governing Board, on March 3, 2026. The Board will consider taking final action on the proposal at that meeting. The Board meeting will be held in the Stanley Middle School Library, 3455 School Street, Lafayette, California.

Please contact Melissa P. Dodd, Chief Business Official, at (925) 927-3504 or mdodd@lafsd.org for more information.

New Gear is Here!

I know you want drip and our spirit wear coordinator, Shila Dorrani, has delivered. She has created some new styles, items and color options in the Stanley Spirit Wear Store.

Please note the spirit wear will be open until April 26 with delivery planned for May 14. I know that seems far down the road, but we also want to give the incoming sixth graders a chance to get some gear for their new school.
