SCHOOL BOARD MEETING / PRE 2/19 MEETING INFORMAL
At the recent School Board meeting, the Board and the District struggled to make several difficult decisions. Real programs and real people at our schools are at risk. Even after responsible cost-cutting, the district still faces $2M in cuts this year - and Measure L, which brings in approximately $3M annually, expires next year. Our District doesn’t have a budgeting problem, it has a revenue problem. Learn more here.
It’s essential that our community stay informed about what is happening and what they can do about it. Please consider attending the Special Meeting of the Board next Thursday, February 19, from 4-6 pm at the Stanley Library. The Board will be further discussing budget cuts as well as debating details of future local funding and a potential new parcel tax. If you can not join in person, please join via Zoom.
Please also sign up to stay informed on any future efforts and always donate to LPIE.
Strong schools mean a stronger Lafayette. And it’s up to us to keep it that way

New Gear is Here!

I know you want drip and our spirit wear coordinator, Shila Dorrani, has delivered. She has created some new styles, items and color options in the Stanley Spirit Wear Store.

Please note the spirit wear will be open until April 26 with delivery planned for May 14. I know that seems far down the road, but we also want to give the incoming sixth graders a chance to get some gear for their new school.

Choose the days that work for you and then show up to observe Stanley students in their natural environment. Consider pairing up with a friend for a Campus Cruiser shift, it's a short time commitment but a fun thing to do.
